Thanksgiving was great! I baked six pies on Thursday. Sour Cream Apple and Pecan Pies. They were all gone by Saturday. YUM!! I also got hooked on Band Hero and Beatles Rock Band. Since then, I haven't been doing much else aside from playing games which is bad. I should be quilting or crocheting or baking. [info]smiledoggie and [info]littleyuzu and I finished our scarves for Operation Gratitude and we sent them in this week. I didn't get to take a picture of them before I mailed them in. I've been busy with the upcoming holidays and having to get Christmas presents for everyone.

So I finally finished my Octopus Amigurumi.  This was a free pattern on Lion Brand Yarn's website.  The tentacles took forever to make!  I don't think I'll be making more animals with so many legs.  I'm starting on my giraffe next.

I've been to this place a few times and it's easily become one of our favorite hang-out places in LA.  I don't even know how to pronounce the name, Wurstkuche, but it's a great sausage grill/bar in Downtown LA.  They have a ton of German and Belgian beers on tap and the sausages and french fries are delicious!  They even have Rattlesnake & Rabbit Sausage with Jalapeno Peppers.  I wasn't that daring to try it but I had the Louisana Hot Link and that was yummy!  Their Chipotle Ketchup and Chipotle Aioli are great dipping sauces for the fries too.  But then again, I love everything that has chipotle peppers in it.

I would've taken pictures but it's very dark inside so I didn't come out with anything good.  The last time, I went there, which was two Saturdays back, DJ Joe Hahn from Linkin Park was standing right behind me and my hubby in line.  I was staring at him for awhile thinking that he looked familiar since I can only really recognize a few musicians.  I'm really bad at musician sightings but a lot better at celebrity sightings.  Anyways, it wasn't until I overheard him talking to his friend about some tracks and music videos that I realized it was really him.  I am a fan of Linkin Park so I was tempted to turn around and ask for a picture but I was too nervous and didn't say anything.

I typically don't approach celebrities/musicians when I see them.  So I kept my mouth shut, smiled at him and minded my own business.  It wasn't until the end of the night that I really was kicking myself for not saying something.  Or trying to sneak in a picture at the very least ... oh well!

I finished my table runner today!  Right in time for Christmas.  I'm planning to make two matching potholders too.  I think my progress for quilting has gotten faster.  I finished this in less than a week!  That's a record!  I start my quilt this Sunday!  I can't wait!  Happy Early Holidays!  I think I'm going to start making table runners for every holiday now ... I might not be able to do Thanksgiving in time but maybe Valentine's next ... Hmmm ...
